Hi Everyone!
I can’t believe the season is almost over! For many it was another tough start and several didn’t see a break from the rain and/or flooding until the beginning of July. One of the biggest reasons we have fought so hard to get the later school start date. Without the later dates, many outfitters would have suffered an even greater blow this year. Kyna (MCFA Lobbyist) has said she knows there will be legislation filed in the upcoming session to remove the current limits on when schools can begin their calendar year. So that we can be prepared for the attack, Kyna has asked a couple questions that she feels will support our case –
#1 What are your business percentages for August since the date was pushed back? (went into effect 2020-21 school year)
#2 Share percentage of occupancy for your business in August compared to May, June, July.
#3 Whatever you feel comfortable sharing.
If you feel uncomfortable sharing the business name with Kyna, legislators, etc. please note that in your email to me. I simply reference an outfitter located East or West of 63 (MCFA’s dividing line for board seats).

The Department of Revenue has ruled you must collect and submit sales tax for long term RV site rentals. If you rent long term RV sites, you are required to submit the sales tax. Long term cabin rentals are still exempt.

The 3rd Annual Roadshow tour is September 29 – October 1 on the Gasconade River. Our hosts this year are BSC Outdoors, Gasconade Hills Resort, and Ruby’s Landing LLC.
I’ve attached the schedule and registration form for you to review. If you plan to attend, please send me the registration as soon as possible via email or text so that we can place the food order.
*Due to the distance between each outfitter, I highly suggest riding the tour bus. We will be having cracker barrel discussions, vendor details, and of course catching up during the ride. Hope to see you there!
Have a great and safe Labor Day weekend!!
