MCFA Roadshow: Touring the Gasconade River Region

The Missouri Canoe & Floaters Association recently hit the road again — this time exploring the Gasconade River Region.
Our latest MCFA Roadshow brought outfitters, vendors, and friends together to tour three outstanding properties:
Ruby’s Landing, Gasconade Hills Resort, and BSC Outdoors.

BSC Outdoors A family tradition continues at BSC Outdoors, where Larry Helms and his family operate a thriving, multi-generation business. Offering camping, floating, and cabins, BSC Outdoors embodies the spirit of Missouri’s river heritage — welcoming guests to relax, explore, and reconnect with the outdoors.

Ruby’s Landing The newest addition to the region’s outfitter community, Ruby’s Landing brings innovation and creativity to river recreation. Their famous Haunted Float features animatronic characters along the river, creating a one-of-a-kind Halloween experience. The owner’s passion for flight is also on display — with helicopter tours available on-site for a truly elevated view of Missouri’s waterways.

Gasconade Hills Resort Under new ownership, James and Sheila are breathing new life into Gasconade Hills Resort. Their commitment to preserving the property’s historic charm while introducing fresh improvements reflects the kind of stewardship that keeps Missouri’s float culture strong and vibrant.

This Roadshow wasn’t just about site visits — it was about connection.
